At the beginning of the match, the Surgut team seemed to barely get out from behind the festive table: Krasikov, who started for the serve, threw the ball into deep out, and then there was an execution named after Abaev. Lokomotiv's setter served consistently to Korotaev, he consistently made it difficult for Ozhiganov to work, who did not correct and left difficult tasks for the attackers on a tall block. Neither Rajab in the fourth zone, nor Korotaev in the “two” (there was no talk about the first tempo with such fine-tuning) couldn't help it, 1:8. Abaev himself ended the series with a serve into touch. Novosibirsk residents made six mistakes in this element, which more than pays off with five aces, including three in a row from Kurbanov in the middle of the game (14:5 – 16:5). You can say, that Gazprom-Yugra was not at the site, only four self-acquired points are evidence of this.

At the beginning of the first set, Kirillov appeared instead of Ozhiganov, from the start of the second game, Rajab was replaced by Rudnev, Shevlyakova - Tarasenko. Things got better: Tarasenko organized the finish of the game with a serve to Kurbanova, Rodichev implemented it, 9:8. Rudnev's attack broke out, and the Surgut residents take the lead for the first time, 10:11. Ace Abaeva shifts the balance towards Lokomotiv, 12:11. Lokomotiv plays more cleanly and assertively, our resource in the attack sags: 18:15 after Tarasenko hit into touch.

For the hosts, instead of Kurbanova, who is unstable in his technique, Roman Martynyuk comes to the back line as a finisher and pulls out a couple of important goals in defense, Lyzik and Kazachenkov are accurate in the final plays, 21:16. In the end, Rudnev and Rodichev’s aim was lost, Abaev scores another ace. Couldn't get caught, but by the middle of the set it was already a completely different volleyball.

Nikita Alekseev came out for the third game instead of Rudnev, in this way, all our diagonals got playing time. After Savin's ace (3:7) thought, that Lokomotiv will be able to calmly finish the game until victory, but Abaev unsuccessfully experiments with transmission (5:7), and Krsmanovich’s glider into Kurbanov leads to a passing ball and Korotaev winning back from an organized block (7:8). Kirillov beautifully and unexpectedly folds with both hands, another discount - this time from Korotaev - and on the scoreboard 9:9.

Two consecutive mistakes by Kazachenkov put the Surgut team ahead, 11:12, and instead of Ilya, Vasily Molotkov, diagonal from the Lokomotiv youth team, appears on the court. In the middle of the set we again had problems with Abaev’s serves, but this time not in reception, and on the grid. Kirillov, performed well before this, loses subtle relationship with Alekseev on fast passes, not a wizard yet and Rodichev, 15:13.

A protracted mutual exchange of service errors brings the opponents to the end, 19:17. Tarasenko, almost with his back to the net, tries to deceive the block with a discount and throws the ball out of bounds, 22:18. at level 23:20 experienced Plamen Konstantinov takes a break from Nikita Alekseev’s serve and explains, how to work in reception. Like looking into the water: Nikita gets two aces with a glider into the first zone, 23:22. Another time-out from Lokomotiv - and I’ll eat through Lyzik under the hands of Krsmanovich. During the match block, Kirillov wanted the best, but in fact he simply drove Alekseev into the block with a quick pass, the striker had no height, no time, to fix something.

«Lokomotiv», certainly, higher class, which is manifested not only in the physical condition and technical capabilities of the players, but also in the ability to maintain a high level of play. We play in waves: failure in the first set, good first half of the second, something was emerging in the third and there was even an opportunity to catch the set if circumstances were lucky. Only these circumstances on the court are formed by the players themselves. For now, Novosibirsk offers us some conditions, and we try to comply with them with varying degrees of success. Without imposing your volleyball, this position is obviously weaker, but we were unable to offer anything serious in the match with the leader.

There is no shame in losing to such a team, and the course of the game became a good lesson for the future, when the opponents on the other side of the net will be more “edible” for us.
