After the defeat of "Neftyanik" in Novosibirsk the day before, the 12th place and a ticket to the qualifying round of the playoffs were in the pocket of Surgut even before the start of the match. The game itself in Sosnovy Bor left mixed impressions.. One side, again, the abundance of his own marriage did not allow him to impose a tighter game on his opponent. With another, there were also bright spots - but about them a little later.
Diagonal "Dynamo-LO" Roman Murashko made his debut in the match, which literally flew everything. Nevertheless, Gazprom-Yugra managed to rectify the situation with 5:8 on 13:13, after which he successfully again gave the initiative. The key point is the draw, when Nikita Nagaets returned the thrown ball in a harmless situation to the side of the opponent, and before that, Alekseev failed to score without a block, 13:16.
The subsequent failure on the simple serves of Alexander Melnikov looked almost natural: here is an excellent game of Murashko on pre-game balls, and defense of Dynamo-LO, and we have a kick in touch, to block, in defense... 15:18 turned into 15:22 and the fight is over, not really starting. Towards the end, Alexander Klimkin cranked out the traditional double substitution and Sergey Pirainen had the final say.
In the second game, the Surgut team showed, that you can even play and win with Dynamo if you keep a certain general level without failures in the main elements. On the starting spurt of "Gazprom-Ugra", culminating in Kabeshov's mistake in a free-ball pass (6:3), Sosnovobortsy immediately answered eyom Murashko, and then Roman, failed start of the world, brought the gap to a minimum, 7:6.
By the middle of the set, the hosts got the guests, 15:15 – after Makarenko’s attack out of bounds in the replay. Surgut captain corrects himself with two aces, 19:16. Again the fight, where there is almost everything: and my own marriage, and the withdrawal of Alekseev to the attack "meter behind the head" without a block - 21:19. Immediately, the diagonal performs a tight serve, giving a chance for a break point, and Katic wins back the emergency ball from the block, 22:19. Another free-ball - Katic loses the status of a magician ... But Gazprom-Ugra keeps its distance and squeezes through Piun and Alekseev.
In the third installment, Pirainen remains on the court for Dynamo-LO, and the Surgut people do not have a margin of safety. Feed does not fly, lame reception, prudent owners are happy to use all this wealth, leaving with 9:7 on 14:8. Anton Botin replaces Dmitry Makarenko, two blocks to Ivovich, Biryukov’s mistake and Botin’s discount from the back line after his own serve slightly brighten up the picture – 15:18. Klimkin takes an emergency timeout, Botin reacts with a serve into the net and a frustrated reception, providing Kolenkovsky's counterattack, 15:20. Again a calm ending for the Sosnovobortsy and an endgame in the form of an ace by Denis Biryukov.
In the fourth set, Rajab Shakhbanmirzaev and Maxim Kirillov appear on the court. If the actions of the diagonal did not cause any difficulties for the opponents accustomed to left-handed diagonal opponents, then the game of the young setter pleasantly surprised. Until now, one could talk about Maxim, how about a good pitcher, frisky striker and promising, discounted for age, binder, but this time he, it seems, first played maturely in his main role. His passes were good and paced, and in place, often leaving the forwards of Gazprom-Ugra on a single block. Plus a tight feed, who looked like a ray of light in a dark kingdom: nor Pion, nor Rajab, nor Ozhiganov, not even Katic was pleased with the introduction of the ball. And the opponent played out Denis Biryukov, two aces of which already in the debut predetermined the outcome of the set and match: 3:9. Surgut tried to play, not to play, but it didn’t work out very well - what to say, if at the match ball Rajab stepped over the three-meter line?
