Final volleyball day of the season 2020/2021 in the Russian Super League took place in Surgut. The teams lined up in the ranking table the day before, but the two remaining games still took place. In the first meeting, the youth of "Belogorya" remained more motivated – and she managed to finish the championship with a victory.

In the first two sets, the opponents parted with a minimal advantage, first took the top "Belogorye", 26:24, "Oilman" got it back - 23:25. In the third game, "Belogorye" gained a comfortable advantage by the middle of the set, 16:11 after hitting substitute Moroz Erkin out-of-bounds, bringing it in the end to 25:20. In the fourth, three aces in a row performed by Yegor Sidenko marked a more than powerful lead, 8:2. Which the, however, "Neftyanik" managed to nullify, 15:15. Starting all over again, Sidenko, Tetyukhin and Co still put the squeeze on Orenburg residents, 25:22 and 3:1.

Senior coach of VK "Belogorye" Alexander Kosarev: Finally a victory, Work, that this is how the season ended. Sure, wrong place, which I would like, but still, victory is a victory, and for young people it is a step forward. There were many mistakes of my own today too, seems to have started well, but then they fell again. Then, in each subsequent game, they made fewer and fewer mistakes.. Good, that the fourth game did not stop, continued to play and withstood the stress, finished the ending to mind.

Head coach of VC "Neftyanik" Vladimir Vikulov: Our main striking forces jumped seriously yesterday, microtraumas came to life, so they gave the guys some rest. Frost just came out, because we have no other diagonal. Ourselves have seen, what had to be started at this position of the first tempo, somewhere he coped, somewhere - no. This was not enough. Belgorod served well today, pushed us away from the grid, it was hard to attack an organized block. Belgorod well done, with their victory, well, we left too much emotion and energy yesterday.

In the last match of the championship, Gazprom-Yugra and Dynamo-LO met. In the opening, the hosts tried to create a gap, but not implementing the replay, received 7:6 instead 8:5, immediately "caught" the ace from Abrosimov and the game went on a level track. On a series of excellent Divis serves, the guests rode off with 17:17 on 17:20 and calmly brought the ending to victory, 21:25.

The second batch began with two aces of Slobodyanyuk, who replaced the injured Nikishin. Ace Fialkovsky - and the sought 8:5 as a harbinger of victory. But it still had to be earned: Surgut's reception was pretty bad, and the removal from the edges on an organized block went with a creak. Dynamo-LO against this background looked more concentrated and realized their chances. So, Slobodyanyuk did not use one hundred percent play and Shpilev's return shot indicated the guests' advantage - 14:16. Ace Chereyskiy arrived in time, 16:17, and then, after a series of mutual errors on the serve, Shpilev shoots out-of-bounds, 20:20. After 23:23 Shpilev failed to serve again, a Diviš shoots, 25:23.

This was the end of Dynamo-LO's concentration - the pine fighters began to make mistakes serially. Alekseev intercepts when attacking from the back line, 9:5. Rajab draws up an ace, 12:7. Another ace from Chereisky, 15:9. Gazprom-Yugra moved into an uncomfortable formation with a diagonal in the fourth zone with the most comfortable 17:10, but gave five goals in a row - this time Rukavishnikov got stuck, handing out extremely uncomfortable passes. Slobodyanyuk still withdrew from the second zone, and the Surgut team managed to enter the end with a more or less digestible advantage of three goals. Another break was obtained by ace Fialkovsky, and the set ended with three mistakes in a row on the serve, 25:21.

In the fourth game of Dynamo-LO, in fact, threw in a white flag. All attempts to resist came to nothing.: after the ace Sklyarenko who replaced Shpilev (10:8) there were almost no effective actions among the pine fighters. Rukavishnikov gave a long streak of innings with ace, 16:8, Kuzmin, who left instead of Alekseev, landed in the block, 19:9, One by one, Dovgan covered Byarda, 21:9 and knocked out the last ace of the championship, 23:10. In the morning we talked to the doctor and decided to save some of the players. If the game solved something - our medical headquarters works great, would bring them to their senses. Well, so we decided to let those play, who had less playing time. During the game, Nikita Alekseev received a back injury. The ending turned out to be a little blurry.. But I'm grateful to the guys anyway, they showed attitude, the first two or three games were interesting to the audience.

Senior coach of VC "Gazprom-Ugra" (Surgut) Anton Malyshev: The beginning of today's game is the continuation of yesterday's match. Underconfigured, looseness, dirty play. But the guys managed to get together, play more or less cleanly, put a little pressure on the feed, little by little added in all elements. Well, the support of the fans - not so often we saw full stands at our home this season.. It helps, it lifts the team up and propels it forward, even against the background of fatigue and injury. In general, it turned out to be a difficult season. We did not complete the main tasks. Let's analyze, we will see, what and where did we do wrong, what changes do we need - and we will be preparing for the next season.

Captain of VC "Gazprom-Yugra" (Surgut) Eugene Rukavishnikov: There was a little lack of confidence in the first game, postponed yesterday's game, I had to roll in. Yesterday the reception failed, pitch - and today continued this collapse in the opening, sagged. Then the feed turned out to be changed, and the opponent was wrong enough, it turned us on. In general, it turned out to be a difficult season, missed a lot from the very beginning, preparation was crumpled, in different places, we opened the halls late here, prepared themselves. Basically, somewhere did not finish a little bit, there are offensive defeats, which might not have been. Thanks for the season, thanks fans.
