Lost on the case
"Kuzbass" (Kemerovo): Kostadinov – Petkovic, Markin - Pakshin, Tavasiev – Chereysky, Golubev, chestnuts
"Gazprom-Ugra": Ozhiganov – Rajab, Katich - Korotaev, Krsmanovych - Tarasenko, Obmochaev
The debut of the Gazprom-Yugra match was built through Petar Krsmanovich, two of his attacks brought results, one went out. Add Ivan Korotaev’s block on an emergency ball and Rajab Shakhbanmirzaev’s unrealized attack – hence the “plus three” for the hosts, 3:6. This handicap lasted until the mark 11:14, when another attack by Rajab failed to pay dividends: eventually 11:15 and Nikita Alekseev enters the diagonal.
Two sharp serves from Tarasenko renew the chase: passing ball plus ace, 15:16. Korotaev had a chance to equalize, but in a difficult final game Ivan unsuccessfully went ahead, 16:18. Milan Katic is replaced on the front line by Dmitry Krasikov and fails on the net: block not beaten twice, 17:21.
The second wave almost overtakes the hosts again: on the first serve of Maxim Kirillov, who came out for this mission, Roman Pakshin shoots out, 19:21. The next serve is denser, Alexander Markin takes our side, but Tarasenko did not attack, Alekseev's shot in defense is miraculously lifted by Petkovic, and Nikita’s repeated attack runs into Pakshin’s hands. There was a feeling in the episode, that Inal Tavasiev touched the net, but the possibilities for video viewing were limited, failed to get hold of the account.
Tarasenko’s attack is immediately caught with a block, Obmochaev famously fights off Pakshin from the fourth zone, but Kostadinov completes the game alone, 19:23. Ozhiganov is trying hard to revive Tarasenko, it starts with slipping, 20:23, then Pakshin calmly takes off on a torn block and goes through an exchange of errors on serve, 21:25.
The second set opens with an ace by Pakshin, Krsmanovic answers him with an ace, a series of mutual service errors – and another ace, now from Petkovic, 3:4. Ozhiganov checks in practice, how low can you pass to Alekseev, Kuzbass earns another break, when Vadim switches to a low pass to Korotaev - a spade during the pipe, 6:8.
The Surgut team woke up after losing another break - Pakshin threw in a passing ball after a good serve from Kostadinov, 7:10. Katic and Alekseev score, Petkovic rips the discount out, 10:10. Krechetov comes on instead of Kostadinov and remains on the court until the end of the game.. Alekseev tears off the hands of the blocker, 11:10. Shevlyakov, who replaced Tarasenko, puts a cover on Chereysky, 15:13. Ours keep a minimum distance, and then take another step: Alekseev works in defense, Korotaev throws the net ball, 21:18. At this mark, Alexey Babeshin releases Dmitry Yakovlev diagonally, who also stayed until the end of the game and brought a lot of benefit to his team.
But first Markin beats the triple block, and then Kuzbass fights off the attacks of Shevlyakov and Korotaev, responding with a pipe performed by Pakshin, 21:20. Alekseev from the fourth zone makes the difference, 23:21, and after the Kuzbass timeout, Pakshin attacks the cable with a pipe, giving the Surgut team three set points. Two hosts win back: Markin hits out, but Alekseev admits touching the block, and then reliably get stuck in the hands of the hosts of Katic's attack, 24:23. Ozhiganov stubbornly continues to revive Milan, without looking at the scoreboard: two more blocks for the captain. Fortunately, Obmochaev cleans – and Alekseev finishes, 25:23.
In the third set, Gazprom-Yugra “missed” the start - 0:3. Trying to get closer (4:6 after Alekseev's attack without a block) ends with Krsmanovic's forced knock on the block on the emergency ball and Krechetov's ace, 5:10. Our reception is falling apart, and pass when counting 6:12 Maxim Kirillov comes out. The quality of Maxim’s passes is below average. Pass past Shevlyakov, 8:15, another ace by Krechetov, 11:19. Added to other problems is the toothlessness of the Surgutians’ delivery, the owners easily keep the food, and then there’s Katic from the support (!) manages to hit the net, 12:20.
The game was invigorated after Vyacheslav Rudnev came out to serve, and, due to playing diagonally in defense. At first he carried the attack at the first pace, and Pakshin did not put the ball into the court with the second wave, 18:23. Then Rudnev fought off Pakshin’s attacks three times (!), but Alekseev did not take advantage of the pre-game chance, 18:24. Nevertheless, on the wave that arose, our team won back two set points, making the score decent and giving hope for the fourth game.
And indeed, despite another “opening” of the set by ace Pakshin, the game was even. By blocking Yakovlev and Tavasiev in one play, we equalize the balance, 6:6. There is an exchange “rent for rent”, It’s easier for the owners - Shevlyakov, Katich, Krsmanovich, Alekseev does not offer anything serious in the filing. After Pakshin's attack into touch we even take the lead, 13:12, but then Pakshin corrects himself, The hosts' block eats Alekseev and Katich, and Krsmanovic becomes the hero of the “accident” section, throwing the passing ball into touch, 13:16.
Reply from Alekseev and Krsmanovich, who blocked Yakovlev with a block (15:16) finds support from Obmochaev, which drags the next diagonal attack of the hosts, but Tavasiev gets a second chance, and Pakshin plays another ace, 15:18. In the end, Alexander Markin showed skill and composure for the hosts, over and over again implementing attacks on an organized block, works great with blocking hands Dmitry Yakovlev. We're somewhere nearby all the time, but for the decisive breakthrough there is not enough aggression on serve and persistence on the net. Kuzbass gets the match ball and the last point of the match through Inal Tavasiev.
Score, as they say, per game. I don't see statistics, I can tell, that it felt like the opponent made more mistakes on serve and at least no less in attack. But by intensifying the game, he was able to extract certain dividends from these elements. It is also worth noting the block of Kemerovo residents, worked better. The replacement of diagonals was successful in both teams, but at the right moment, the Kuzbass setter was able to find support in the experienced Markin, what can’t be said about our finishing game.
