The finale of the six, DAY THREE. 14 parties in fire
On the third day of the final of the six youth volleyball league, the team gave out almost the maximum possible number of sets to the mountain - 14 The th round started on Friday with Ural's home win over Fakel 15. Two Dynamo teams were the first to tighten the struggle. Sosnovoers, Loosing in the debut (19:25), gnawed in the stubborn struggle the next two sets (30:28 and 25:23). Muscovites returned to the game (25:20), but in the tiebreaker “Dynamo-LO-2” deservedly achieved the first victory in its history in the Finals of the Six MVL.
In a head-to-head match between the most titled MVL team - Lokomotiv-SSHOR - and the champion of the last two years - Fakel-Yamal, everything immediately started with a fight, 30:28 in favor of Novosibirsk. "Fakel" takes revenge, 25:22 – and again Lokomotiv claws out an advantage, 30:32. "Torch" persistent: another set with a score 25:22 sends the game to a tiebreaker.
About this in a little more detail. Before the change of sides, the Yamal team managed to lead with two breaks, taking advantage of the knocked out technique of the Novosibirsk residents, 7:5. Vasily Kapranov had a finishing game and a chance to change sides of the court with a good advantage, but the finisher failed. And then Mikhail Vishnyakov from Lokomotiv makes an ace - 7:7! Another excellent serve and again Kapranov fails to decide on a difficult ball, 7:8!
After switching sides, a powerful save from Fakel’s libero helps Kapranov get back from the block (10:10) and as a bonus Vasily gets an ace, 11:10. After the mark 12:12 Vishnyakov confidently withdraws, and the diagonal “Torch” from the second zone makes a fatal mistake, 12:14. Lokomotiv-SSHOR takes risks on serve - net, and the Novosibirsk coaching staff, in which head coach Georgi Petrov was absent, takes two timeouts in a row. The Novosibirsk team wins the decisive ball from the fourth zone from a block into touch and continues to go through the tournament without defeat.
In the last match of the day, YUKIOR tried to beat Zenit-UOR, but failed to cope with the difficult task. More experienced Kazan players played cleaner and deservedly won. The first set ended at 22:25, Surgut residents missed the ending with 22:22. In the second game, the change of setter at YUKIOR led to a monotonous game through the fourth zone, Where, Nevertheless, Serov and Kostadinov managed it - plus the serve flew, 25:22. Complete symmetry in the score in the third and fourth sets turned in favor of Kazan. The games followed approximately the same scenario: equality to mark 9:9, Matvey Pisarev's serve failure, attempted chase and lost endings. The match was finished in beautiful style - with three aces in a row - by the former YUKIOR player, and now – “Academy-Kazan” Alexander Krasilnikov.
