Fought to the end
Surgut residents staged another five-set massacre in Ufa and lost in an absolutely equal ending. It all started with the victory of "Ural" in the first set 25:21. We lost, in fact, in one arrangement, with a diagonal in the fourth zone: first with 7:8 failed on 7:10, and through a circle with 13:17 gave two more breaks, 13:19. Kirill Fialkovsky's game didn't go well, he was initially not very successfully replaced by Ivan Nikishin, and even Rajab Shakhbanmirzaev did not become a support for Yevgeny Rukavishnikov, who is still looking for himself.
The second set didn't go well at first either.. When, after a sudden ace of Kulikov, the account became 15:10 in favor of the owners, it seemed for a second, that today is not our day. But an ace answered Rajab (12:15) and immediately Gazprom's employees found a "client" in the form of Gordon Perrin. The Canadian failed the attack twice, then Kostylenko loaded a ball into his head on the block, after which the Ural spiker threw another Rajab serve into the stands, 16:15. Shabby Perrin was replaced by Nikitin. The balance game has entered the ending, where the people of Surgut finally grabbed Feoktistov, who had played unmistakably and sometimes just enchanting before: Rajab closes Yegor with a block (22:19), then Feoktistov cannot cope with the reception, and Nikishin scores a challenge ball (23:19). It was a matter of technique to complete the set in your favor., 25:21 after blocking Nikitin in the second zone.
In the debut of the third set, Gazprom-Yugra failed a little, 1:4, but the time-out taken in time brought the players to their senses. Thanks to the efforts of Nikishin and Shakhbanmirzaev, we again moved forward in the middle of the game, from 12:12 on 15:12, Nikishin Eisom strengthened his position before the end (20:15) and the newly formed advantage made it possible to take a set in a quiet mode, 25:21. In general, Surgut residents played cleaner, and Nikishin scored everything.
But still, our team has not yet such a resource, to play protracted matches at the grandmaster level. In the fourth installment, several episodes were played, what is called, on a thin, and then "Ural" began to succeed, we are out of fuel. Rafael Khabibullin removed from Shahbanmirzaeva's site, Rukavishnikov and Chereisky, and the party became an easy prey for the owners, 16:25.
Well, and valid, as usual, fifth set. In the end, the teams went absolutely on equal terms, Surgut residents succeeded with 11:11 move on 13:11 - Nikishin took a risk in an emergency game and scored a difficult goal. Rybakov starred, and then twice the attacks of Nikishin, who had been dragging the team before, "Ural" raised in defense, calculating the directions of the blows. This gave Feoktistov and Rybakov a chance to finish the game, Ural made their first match-ball at the mark 13:14. Nikishin finally starred, and the owners managed to put the squeeze on the game only from the third run. By and large,, everything was decided by chance - the feed touched the cable and Rukavishnikov had to accept, to pass - to Chereysky, and Shakhbanmirzaev took a chance on an uncomfortable ball and buried himself in a triple block, 16:18.
That case, when the residents of Surgut have nothing to reproach themselves with - they fought to the end and lost on the swing. This is what we talked about on the eve of the match.: Gazprom-Yugra will fight with all its might in every match, and there - how it goes. It almost worked out in Ufa. Let "almost" not count in the standings, we are really proud of our guys. Yes, two words must be said about the absent Stephen Muzaj. He has another small, as they say, damage. However, that fact, that Muzai was not on the site, did not bring any unforeseen bonuses to Gazprom-Yugra: Evgeny Rybakov is now in a very large order and played no worse than the star Pole. We also note among the winners Yegor Feoktistov, who has noticeably added recently - these two scorers deserve separate compliments. We are, as always, played as a team, therefore we will not single out anyone. Is that Ivan Nikishin, who started the game in the square, pleases, that we have a good resource in the game.
