In the first match of the first game day in Surgut, Dynamo from the Leningrad region and MSTU met. In the opening set, the game was tied at first - 3:1, 6:6, 9:9. And from that moment on, MSTU volleyball players played solo. Osniel Melgarejo made a mistake in attack, Muscovites blocked the sky for Nazar Litvinenko twice in a row. And Andrey Kotov also gave an ace, and in the next moment Saveliy Pozdnyakov fought back from the block. 18:21. The moment turned out to be a turning point, MSTU took the party – 21:25.
The Muscovites continued to look great. It was an even match in many respects (errors 26:25, attack 41%/40%, reception 15%/14% excellent finishing and 38%/47% positive). The fate of the second and third sets was decided in the endings, MSTU athletes were the leaders in them (19:21 and 20:21), but the Dynamo-LO volleyball players were stronger (25:22 and 25:23). In the fourth game, the advantage of Sosnovoborets was stronger 25:20.
Melgarejo gets in shape, called to the role of one of the leaders of Dynamo-LO (+11 in the match). He lost seven goals, played poorly in the reception (32% positive development), but compensated for the shortcomings by working on the block (4 points).
At MSTU 18 Nikolay Zubov scored points, but at the same time he made three mistakes in the attack, 7 hit the block once, lost 6 balls on serve and 1 to accept.
Anton Astashenkov, coach of VC "Dynamo-LO": Our team is in the moment of formation, some players arrived recently, lack of teamwork. That's why the match didn't start. But then we made fake connections, which were still established last year, due to supply, coordinated attack, managed to level the game and win. Our main task – fight for every point.
