There has been a curious change in the composition of the Surgut residents: captain Alexey Rodichev, who had previously played exclusively on the back line, played the game as a receiving libero this time, on his serve he was replaced by young Alexander Evseev, whose role, generally, also a finisher. And Nikita Nagaets was warming up in the uniform of a field player, but never showed up on the set.
In the first set, Litvinenko was the first to turn an even game in his favor - he scored along the line and immediately scored an ace, 8:10. However, he also kicked out of bounds and started a series of knockout serves performed by Kurbatov: two aces and a block by Litvinenko on a withdrawn ball, 20:19 in favor of Surgutyans. In an even ending, Rudnev’s attack missed the court (20:21), and then the Dynamo-LO volleyball players mirrored the field-out situation on the serve. First, the judges ruled Dovgan out, but the video review recorded a line snag (20:22), and Tyushkevich’s ace turned into an out in the same way (22:23). Litvinenko dribbled the emergency ball past the block, scoring two set points for the hosts. Having received a fribol, they could have already implemented the first one, but Ivovic’s pipe ran into the block. Another attempt at filming and Litvinenko finally puts an end to it on the third attempt, 23:25.
In the second game, Fidan Gusamov remained on the Gazprom-Yugra court, replaced Ivan Korotaev in the first set. And it served as one of the reasons for the double substitution at Dynamo-LO, blocking Litvinenko. 9:6 in favor of Surgut after an equal start forced Alexander Klimkin to release Pirainen and Borchikov. Gazprom-Yugra maintained its lead until, when Artem Lapin came out to serve. The seemingly simple glider baffled Rodichev and Slobodyanyuk in turn, allowing the hosts to equalize, 15:15.
Ours returned one break, taking advantage of Pirainen's mistake, Rudnev didn’t take another chance, 19:18. Skvortsov came on instead of Slobodyanyuk and first lost his player on the block (20:19), and then knocked on the block (22:21) and went to rest. Returning Slobodyanyuk completed a protracted rally (23:21) and the overture started. Ivovic barely made it onto the pipe, good thing - no block, in response, Krsmanovic overpowered Dovgan and brought two set points (24:22). Slobodyanyuk missed the first with a serve into the net., and the decisive ball was entrusted to Gusamov - and he did not disappoint, launching a long bounce off the block, 25:23.
In the third set, the game was absolutely equal until the mark 16:16, after which there was a duty pick-up from Ivovich, Tyushkevich went to the pitch and produced a magnificent signature series, driving the reception of the Surgut team to a level that cannot be removed on the grid. And then there’s Rudnev in the awkward fourth zone... Slobodyanyuk took off from the opposite edge of the net only at the mark 16:24 and the two break balls that were then obtained hardly brightened up the overall picture, 19:25.
In the fourth game the picture repeated itself, an equal game ended at about the same place. at level 15:16 Slobodyanyuk made an excellent breaking serve, but Tyushkevich managed to run to our side and didn’t just return the ball behind the antenna, without breaking the rules, but also organized an attack on Ivovic, just give him such extreme sports... Balls like these raise morale, which Schenkel immediately confirmed after Rudnev’s softened attack, 15:18. Ivovic's serve to Krsmanovic leads to a freeball and another success for Schenkel in the fight against the block, 15:19. Well, icing on the cake, pass to Krsmanovic for a double block, 15:20. Kachurov gives Kirillov a break, but the train has already left, 20:25.
The game was uneven on both sides, the teams got tired on the third game day. We failed more systematically, although the first two games played good volleyball, showed something and then, but only until the middle of the sets. However, let's not forget, that Gazprom-Yugra played entirely with young people, and even with libero-players. Liked Gusamov, Kurbatov served excellently in the first half of the match, Slobodyanyuk played quite reliably. Kirillov needs to find a balance between creativity and quality of play... In general, a tour in Sosnovy Bor is worth adding to your list of assets: fight in all matches, one win, but the main thing is invaluable gaming experience, which will form the basis of our team in the future.
