The Surgut team took full revenge for their defeat in the first round, although the game, despite the "dry" score, it wasn't easy. It all started with two strikes from Kurbatov and Radjab into touch. The situation was quickly corrected: Rajab starred, Tkachev hit the rope, 2:2. Our diagonal serve caught the passing ball., implemented by Rodichev - 4:3, first break. The second break was taken with a block by Spodobets, who had recovered from an injury., 9:7, Pavel Borsch immediately reacts with a time-out.
Did not help: the block works again plus Krasikov hits an ace, 11:7. Shevlyakov reduces the distance with a kick into touch, 13:11, then, in a protracted rally, Sidenko wins back at the hands of Krasikov, but the video review recorded, that seconds earlier Andreev touched the net, 15:11. The owners don't give up: another long episode, in which Makarenko has the final say, after which our players touch the net, 15:14. And again a long draw, and again touching the net on our side: Kurbatov ran into Ozhiganov and “threw” him into the net, 16:16.
After this mistake ours started up: Rajab plays a block-out, Sidenko is closed, Ozhiganov puts the serve on the line, 19:16. You can push, but we are gradually losing the advantage we gained, not converting pre-game chances. The worthy one starts the fight with an ace, 21:20, which we seem to be untying again: Rajab keeps eating, Nagaets in defense drags down the attack of Spodobts and Krasikov brings us three set points through experience, 24:21. Sidenko hits out, but the video review examined the touch on Shevlyakov’s block. And then the diagonal “Neftyanik” first knocks Nagayets out of the move, and after a time-out, Gazprom-Yugra catches the rope with the ball and it falls onto the court - pure luck for the Orenburgers and bad luck for us, 24:24.
I immediately remembered four aces in a row at the end, which Sidenko charged us with last season, speaking for ASC. But this time Yegor’s hand trembled - out and still a set point for the Surgut team, albeit at his own pitch. At the decisive moment, the former captain of Gazprom-Yugra Makarenko shot wide of the site, without catching the hands of the blockers, 26:24.
In the second game the hosts go ahead again - 3:0, Sidenko scores, and Rodichev is wrong. Savior mode enables Rajab: scores twice and scores an ace, 3:4. Spodobets serves perfectly, but he himself cannot cope with freeball when attacking with a pipe, giving way to Kudryashov on the site. The setters start a shootout in the center of the net, from which Shakhbanmirzaev "wins"., unscrewing the ball from the block in the end of the game on the second attempt, 7:7.
The hosts increase their lead again: Sidenko beautifully scores an emergency goal in a one-foot jump, so as not to intercede for the three-meter line, and we, in turn, do not use freeball replay, 8:10. Rajab is accurate again, Sidenko touched the net on the block, 11:11. And again Shakhbanmirzaev: knocks out a freeball with a serve for the team and closes the question himself, 12:11. An even game is interrupted by Ozhiganov's ace, 16:14. Pavel Borsch takes a tactical video review and introduces Zemchenko and Zhosya into battle as part of a double substitution.
But one more step towards victory for the Surgut team: Kirillov, who comes out to serve, forces the hosts to take the ball to the Surgut side, Shevlyakov is right there, 19:16. Sidenko and Kovalikov return to the site, Rajab drives the emergency ball under the blocker's skin, Rodichev fires an ace just in time., 22:18. Krasikov is removed from Sidenko's serve and brings four set points this time, 24:20. In the opening of the third game, Rajab was accurate twice, 2:0. Krasikov closes another freeball with a quick attack, and Rakhmatullin, who went into the final game, is trying to start the team, 6:4. Borsch is forced to take a time out, but Shakhbanmirzaev cannot be stopped - now a technical wrist return from a triple block, 13:7. By the way, Krasikov’s serves to Rakhmatullina work well in this segment: Ilnur doesn't follow through, giving us chances. Submission to Makarenko changes the picture: the captain of the Neftyanik decides the episode, but feeds into the net. Rakhmatullin is trying to rehabilitate himself on the grid, but the rebound from the block hits him in the leg - now luck is on our side, and the bill - even more so, 15:8. Zemchenok does not place the ball on the line, and the blow of Rakhmatullina "four" on "four" can not change anything. Kirillov's next serve brings four points in a row, the last Maxim gets with an ace, 23:11. Zinchenko, who came on in place of Andreev, scores Neftyanik's last goal, Rajab brings a match point. Feeding through the cable confuses Zemchenko, he fails to cope with the second touch after defending against Krasikov’s shot - the ball flies through the net into touch, bringing victory to Gazprom-Yugra.
We don't often praise the humble guy Rajab Shakhbanmirzaev, either for fear of jinxing it, or fearing to overestimate - even there, where he makes a huge contribution to victories. Today Rajab deserves words of admiration without any conditionality, it was his game. Without even looking at the statistics, can say, that his contribution is decisive, basic. Feeling his hot hand, Ozhiganov gave almost everything for his head, what he could - and nothing else was required for success. Sure, the whole team tried their best: and Nagaets distinguished himself in defense, and Krasikov coped with the reception, and the centers survived, and Kirillov very usefully came out to serve, but they all, I'm sure, grateful to your diagonal. thanks, Rajab, Thank you, "Gazprom-Ugra"!
