SECOND DAY: It was not easy, But we managed

Gazprom-Yugra won a second victory in the play-out - this time over the home team. With equal success, this match could have ended in three, and in five batches. Anyway, yielding 0:2, Krasnoyarsk residents deservedly avoided the “steering wheel” with their selfless play, but the reciprocal strong-willed efforts of the people of Surgut led to a logical result - 3:1.

The start of the match turned out to be in favor of “Yenisei” – at “Gazprom-Yugra” Chefranov looked like a pale shadow of yesterday’s self, the block stopped Beskrovny twice... Only the finishers carried the game on themselves, Ursov was especially good. But his efforts are not enough: after Chefranov's attack into touch in the promising final game, the score became 9:13, and Glivenko appeared on the site.

Ursov gives away an enchanting segment - he is removed from the opponent’s serve, and then brings the team two break points, and the second - on an awkward ball in the style of Erwin Ngapet, turning your back to the net. In fairness it is worth noting, that the beginning of success is Beskrovny’s gliders in Aksyutin, which “floated” slightly in reception. 15:15 and Lubomir Travica uses the first timeout.

Another series of gliders to Aksyutin - this time from Makarov - and Marechal can't do anything on difficult balls, 18:16. Nevertheless, the hosts find the strength to equalize, 20:20, ensuring an equal ending. Marechal brought the first set point to his team with a discount down the line, 24:23, the Surgut team responded with a block-out from Glivenko. And then Makarov twice thwarted Yenisei’s offensive plans with his serve to Marechal.: the first break point was obtained by blocking Carroll's deflected attack, and Ursov earned the decisive point in the final game, 26:24.

In the second game, the hosts made mistakes on serve., in receiving and passing (the ball whistled past Zhuk) reversed the numbers from 2:3 on 5:3 in favor of the guests - and the Surgut residents did not lose their advantage again. After the Bloodless Beetle's block, the gap increased to four points, 14:10, but the owners included an additional resource in protection and insurance, saving those already lost, it would seem that, pranks. Thanks to this, “Enisey” managed to cling to the “-2” mark and enter the end with a completely workable score, 21:19. Mysin, who came out to serve, sends the ball into touch., and “-3” at the end of the set is already serious. The teams exchanged footage, Beskrovny started the serve (we'll come back to this later), and on set-bole (24:22) Yuriy Melnichuk made a reverse double substitution, releasing Glivenko into the fourth zone. The solution is not the most obvious, but it worked - it was Bogdan who put an end to the set from an uncomfortable position, 25:22.

In the third set, the Surgut team tried to immediately put the squeeze on their opponents: Once again, on Makarov’s serves, the hosts received a reception, causing a series of errors on the grid – 9:5. But Marechal, who was “at fault” in previous rallies, began to correct himself, Aksyutin hit an ace - and now it’s on the scoreboard 10:10. Aesom responds to Dovgan, 10:12, but “Yenisei” is catching up again, 13:13. A desperate battle begins with protracted rallies - one of them allowed the Surgut team to maintain balance, 16:16, Ursov pushed through a block in the endgame of a steep mix-up. Immediately Gazprom-Yugra takes the lead - Makarov again puzzles the hosts, and Glivenko fights back from the block. Another validating play with an abundance of mutual beauty in defense, this time ending with Aksyutin’s discount into the “cauldron” – 18:19. Immediately replaced by Marechal Ilinykh, self-actualizes through the pipe, 18:20... Attempts to reach the opponent from our team stop at the mark 21:23 – Chefranov, who came on as part of a double substitution, brings three set points to Enisey with a shot on the block. Krasnoyarsk realizes the second – through the first pace, 22:25.

In the fourth game, the hosts, who had tasted victory, initially objectively outplayed the tired Surgut team. we, rather, on moral and volitional, kept to the mark 8:8, and then the Yenisei went forward like a tank. We have to give the opponents their due - they played well together, through high-quality reception and charged attack. And we started making mistakes. Ursov attacks into touch on a knocked down ball, 8:10. The ball will be delayed for a long time during the kick, 9:12. Makarov's transmission width begins to float, Glivenko picks the ball from behind his head, in response, greetings from Carroll arrive, 9:13. On the second attempt Ilinykh was accurate again, 10:14…

Somewhere at this moment, in the middle of the game, when, it seemed, there was a turning point in the whole match and there was a hint of a tie-break, our players flatly refused to lose. This happens - the mistakes continued, not everything went well, but something invisibly changed on the site. The players simply dropped the burden of responsibility, exhaled and began to play the same volleyball, as the owners - desperately and liberated. Glivenko scores an ace on Aksyutin – 12:14. Shchadilov throws a heavy ball into the line and overturns the same Aksyutin with a glider, 14:15. "Yenisei" a little, but faltered. Carroll shoots the ball into touch, 15:15. Ilinykh fails in reception and Aksyutin cannot do anything with the organized bloc, 16:15.

Marechal appears on the court again, and the Surgut team gets another break point - with a block on the Ilyins, 19:17. We keep the obtained handicap, but at what cost! "Yenisei" realized, that the game is slipping out of your hands and has turned on some outrageous speeds in defense. In one of the pranks, the Surgut residents shot at the court almost point-blank, but only Glivenko succeeded, on the passing ball, 21:19. In turn, Gazprom’s team pulls out Carroll’s attack, but the Beetle can no longer be stopped, 21:20. Another monstrously tense drawn-out rally is completed by Marechal - 22:21. Then Shchadilov kicks into touch, the owners are rejoicing, but the video preview captures the touch of the block, 23:21. Carroll confidently acts, Ursov earns a match point from the fourth zone, 24:22. Beskrovny comes out to serve - remember his miss at the end of the second set? - and again launches the ball into the long out, 24:23. Marechal serves powerfully, we have no attack, the ball goes to the opponent without a fight. Carroll doesn't risk using force, and Ursov picks up his discount, should pass to Glivenko, Bogdan, without a shadow of a doubt, wins back from the edge of the block, 25:23.

Very difficult, but a well-deserved victory for Gazprom-Yugra. “Enisey” loses in the second match in a row, but shows good potential for future achievements. Considering the results of other matches (“Nova” beat “Ugra-Samotlor” in three sets, and “Dynamo-LO” defeated “Yaroslavich” with the same score), we can say, that the second day of the play-out brought Gazprom-Yugra a bonus victory: now six victories separate us from thirteenth place. And the teams have eight matches left to play (including the second round).
