Gazprom-Yugra played the first round of the preliminary part of the Russian Cup. Our guys return from Sosnovy Bor with one victory in three matches. We already wrote about the first game with Dynamo-Ural, the next day, the Surgut team lost to the home team from Dynamo-LO in three games - 22:25, 24:26, 14:25.
note, that in this game Alexey Rudakov tried the setter Artem Ivanov and the diagonal Vyacheslav Rudnev. And the best player in the Surgut team was Ivan Skvortsov, showing academic statistics: 16 points, 50% positive reception, 52% efficiency in attack, two blocks, two aces. Unfortunately, partners did not support, and the hosts scored the lion's share of points from diagonal Nazar Litvinenko (14) and a couple of finishers Fedor Voronkov (13) – Hernandez Melgarejo (10). We again lost the block devastatingly (3-11) and lost in a duel with aces (2-6).
On the final day, our guys were able to demonstrate, that progress in the game is inevitable: Zenith is in a similar position. 3:0 was beaten by MSTU (25:22, 29:27, 25:21). There is already a slight advantage on the block (8:6), and the reception is maintained at its best (54% Torch timeout - and Dineikin confidently withdraws in the fourth zone 47%), and the attack did not disappoint (50% on 43%). Yesterday's achievement of Skvortsov in terms of points was repeated by Vitaly Papazov (16), 12 and 11 Artem Masko and Alexander Slobodyanyuk scored points, also stood up well to the reception (48% and 58% соответственно при серьезной загрузке).
Начал просыпаться и центр сетки в лице двух Дмитриев – Шевлякова и Курбатова, хотя на блоке все наши центральные блокирующие на протяжении всех трех матчей выглядели довольно бледно. Here, as they say, непочатый край работы и огромные резервы. Otherwise, repeat, первый тур как первый блин: команда втягивается и наигрывает связи. По ходу всех матчей мы видели большую ротацию состава, практику получили все.
Теперь команды дружно переезжают в Сургут, где на гостеприимной «Премьер-Арене» с 30 августа по 1 сентября пройдут игры второго тура. And already 4 сентября на той же «Премьер-Арене» нас ждет старт чемпионата России – «Газпром-Югра» откроет турнир матчем с МГТУ. Самое интересное только начинается!
