CUP IN SURGUT. SECOND DAY.

The second day of the tour was long. Though, it would seem that, nothing foreshadowed - "Kuzbass" quite easily beat "Nova" in three sets.

The teams entered the game with the same lineups., same as yesterday. Equal start (4:4), after which Glivenko realizes the first break, and on variable feeds of Sivozhelez "Kuzbass" forms a comfortable lead - 10:5. Actually, the five-point handicap lasted almost until the end of the set (20:15, 23:17) and the Kemerovo residents should have finished calmly. It didn’t turn out very calmly - Kozitsyn alternately made mistakes in taking Sivozhelez and Podlesnykh, and then Schenkel once again beat the short Krechetov on a block in the fourth zone, 23:21. However, after an emergency timeout for Kuzbass, Kozitsyn sent it into the net, and the Kemerovo team converted the second set point with Podlesnykh’s discount for the block, 25:22.

In the second set, the opponents held on for quite a long time., until Shulgin's passing error brought a break point to Kuzbass – 8:6. At all, Shulgin was noticeably inferior to his young counterpart Krechetov in terms of transfer quality, which was partly compensated by the literally low abilities of the Kemerovo setter on the block. But in the middle of the set, Krechetov finally sheathed his regular “tormentor” Schenkel - 15:14. Towards the end, Nova's reception went wrong, And on high balls buried Vasiliev - submit he and until this not filed, and now he began to fail in attack, 19:15. Titich had to take the rap for the entire Nova, but his efforts were not enough. Shulgin again did not have time to get under the ball and gave his opponent a set point, 24:18. Scenario, however, remained the same: Kuzbass took the lead 6:6, this time on Glivenko's serves - 9:6 after his ace. But then Schenkel again began to spud the line from the fourth zone through the hands of Krechetov, and Chefranov hung on the block and closed Podlesnykh’s discount, bringing the Nova forward, 10:11.

Torch timeout - and Dineikin confidently withdraws in the fourth zone 13:13 “Nova” is already rushing forward – Shcherbakov has problems in the center of the net, and Kozitsyn waited and closed the pipe performed by Podlesnykh, 13:17! Titich puts down an ace, 15:19. Kuzbass catches up with Glivenko's serves, pinning Titich with a block, 19:19. At the end the teams are equal, Kemerovo residents have slightly better chances, for whom Demakov’s exit to the block was triggered, 23:21. But Chefranov still confidently withdraws from the unloved fourth zone, and Schenkel explodes with two aces in a row, bringing the Volzhans a chance to take the set, 23:24. Shcherbakov’s attack was pulled out with heroic efforts, but Glivenko’s shot on the edge of the block evened the score. And then the Volga residents made a lot of mistakes - bad reception, low pass to Titić, hit the block. Serve out, another unintelligible pass - and Kozitsyn sends the ball out of bounds, 27:25.

But in the meeting of two representatives of the major league “A” the first thriller happened. The Ekaterinburgers took the first set, what is called, on class, presenting a little more arguments in the attack, 25:22. And in the second game, Lokomotiv completely failed. Score 9:13 hasn't been a disaster yet, but then Shatunov came out to serve and gave his team a ten-point difference, 9:19. Generally, of course, Loko lost entirely on its own mistakes, which were countless - 15:25.

In the third game, Magnitogorsk's more accurate play bore fruit in the end, when from the account 21:22 the southern Urals went to 21:25. The ending of the fourth set was made by the emerald player Syropyatov, scoring 21, 23, 24 and the 25th ball, 25:20.

In the decisive set, Lokomotiv-Izumrud pulled out another trump card from its sleeve - the diagonal Ganin. To the mark 8:6 he earned half of his team's points, and in the end the block of Yekaterinburg residents looked reliable, 15:10.

And who would have thought, that there will be five sets in this match too! Especially after the first game, in which the Surgut residents literally carried out their opponent. There was only one question - will Tyumen be able to get out of the top ten points?. Managed, 25:11.

Such success played a cruel joke on the residents of Surgut. Twice during the second set the hosts overtook the guests in the score (9:9, 19:19) and ended up with a whole bunch of set points (four!), but didn't implement any of them. But Bannov didn’t miss his chance - ace and 28:30. Another tough mix at the end of the third game looked like a mirror image - now everything was decided by Avdochenko’s right through serve, 26:24. In the fourth game, the Tyumen team looked more complete, played as a team, while the game of the Surgut residents fell apart into separate elements. 21:25 - quite a logical result.

The logical result of the match should have been the victory of Gazprom-Yugra, who led throughout the entire set - 6:3, 10:6, 14:11... But in the end, Tyumen residents celebrated success, 15:17. One can only envy their character, and the Surgut residents now have something to rehabilitate for in tomorrow’s match with Kuzbass.

Surgut and I always play five sets, this is, probably, such a tradition. Well done guys, fought to the end due to character, dedication, you have to take your hat off to them. We sorted it out on the block, coped with the diagonal, the threat has been removed from the edge, accepted the playoffs. There was a lot of play on defense, converted their chances in the final game.

Somewhere in the beginning we were under-tuned, the game didn't work out. Then we gathered and with emotions went further into battle. Made fewer mistakes, leveled the game. In the fifth set we played for fun, we did it, we're great. Can, the opponent believed in his victory early, but this is no longer our problem.

We won the first game easily, after that Tyumen resisted, but we didn't have a player, who could lead. We lost a lot of goals to ourselves, many own marriages, poor interactions with the binder. We need to fix everything as quickly as possible. Tyumen played well in defense, we, repeat, that one wasn't found, who would finish the ending. This is the most offensive thing. You can't lose three points in the end.

I think, after the first game we relaxed, lost concentration. The team hasn't played well yet. I've only been on the team for a week, no teamwork yet. We will improve. Regarding my condition, then not very much yet, only acclimatization took place, got sick a little. I think, everything will work out.
