Kirill Ursov is the youngest captain of the Superleague team. Just two years ago, he came to Gazprom-Ugra, but it feels, that he was always here. Today it is difficult to imagine the game of the team without a person, quickly progressed from a budding rookie to one of the leaders on the court. His progress did not go unnoticed by the coaching staff of the national team. Today we will try to satisfy the increased interest in this young man from, as they say, the general public.
– Kirill, tell, where are you from and how did you get into volleyball?
– Born here nearby, in Salekhard (capital of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, ed.). I have been involved in various sports since childhood.: swimming, mini football, and from the second grade I got into the volleyball section, where my first coach Viktor Leonidovich Yaroshenko invited me. Got hooked almost immediately, it was interesting to me, and I quite successfully combined my studies at school and volleyball lessons.
At a childish level, I did not seriously think about a professional career, but closer to the end of school, I received several offers at once to try myself in the youth team of a professional club. In the end, my parents and I decided, what to try. Thank you very much, what was released 10 and 11 I finished the class already in Tyumen, where he simultaneously played for the "youth team", and then the main part of the Tyumen volleyball club.
– Then you almost immediately got into the youth team of Russia ...
– Yes, I played in Tyumen, looking at guys my age, and I ended up on the team. The composition is excellent (Dmitry Volkov, Viktor Poletaev, Evgeny Andreev, Pavel Pankov, Denis Bogdan, Alexander Kimerov, Sergey Pirainen and others. - approx.. order.), we won a lot of things - two European championships, world championship, at another world championship they came second. It's always nice to remember this time.
– How did Surgut appear in your career??
– Came to Surgut after three seasons in the major league "A", from "Tyumen" in transit through the Voronezh "Crystal". called, said, that they want to talk to me face to face. I arrived and immediately understood, what is this club, who solves serious problems. I didn't think for a long time, it was a great opportunity to continue my career!
– How do you like the Superleague after the "tower" "A"?
– Super League, of course, very different, completely different level. At first it was very noticeable, but i got used to it pretty fast, I was lucky with my teammates and coaches, who supported, showed, taught. I soaked up like a sponge at every workout., there was a great desire to play as best as possible! G, respectively, spend as much time on the site as possible. Two years in Surgut flew by unnoticed...
– What do you remember the most?
– There were a lot of events! And victory over the giants, and reaching the Final Six of the championship in 2017 year, and European competitions… A big event for me is the appointment as captain, it's a serious responsibility. All two years were generally good for me.. But, naturally, looking back, see, what could have been done better, somewhere to avoid unforced errors, but in the end it all translates into experience, without him at all.
– This summer you made it to the national team.
– Talk about the national team went at the beginning of summer. Rafael Talgatovich called, previously he spoke with Sergei Konstantinovich Shlyapnikov. asked, am i ready. Of course, I said, what is ready! I think, every athlete wants to be on the national team, That was my goal and still is.. A couple of weeks after that phone call, I already arrived in Moscow for training. Joined the team almost immediately, half of the guys I already knew from youth teams, I just met some of them - a great team gathered there! I spent a month in the national team - I consider it a good experience, pity, that he could not help the team at the World Cup. hope, I will still have the opportunity.
– Kirill, do you have volleyball idols?
– It's hard to say about idols, they don't exist in volleyball.. There are players, who i like, but here I tend to think, that you need to take the best qualities of the best players and try them on yourself.
– There are more emotional players, eat less. How are your emotions on the court?, you control them or they control you? And in life you are an emotional or calm person?
– Emotions are one of the most important parts of sport. I think, that I am still in search of the right balance during the game, different emotions can help at different times, somewhere you need to "charge" partners, Where, vice versa, calm down. I'm for it, for emotions to be beneficial, were under control. In life I, probably, a calmer person, than on site.
– Name your three greatest strengths and three, still need to be worked on?
– Don't even know, can't pick something. Everything needs to be worked on, absolutely all elements can be improved, and i'm going to do it!
– your favorite city?
– Tyumen. I really like it there, I spend most of my vacation there..
– A Surgut?
– I feel good here too! I live in the center, mastered in two years, me and my girlfriend feel comfortable here.
– Are your best friends from the world of volleyball or not??
– Friends are like in volleyball, as well as outside. Probably, during the season I communicate more with the guys from volleyball, during the holidays, on the contrary - there is nothing unusual here.
– As for your personal life, you have already partially answered ...
– Yes, I have a girlfriend, we live together - she is my support and support. I can say so: I'm always happy to come home.
– The most memorable event in life?
– I can't single out one thing.. I think, the main events in my life are yet to come!
